See what anyone on the internet can already see about your company.

Netskor is a passive, external check of a company's domain. It needs nothing but the domain name. Netskor is in development and not yet publicly available.

Netskor looks at what anyone else can look at, from the outside.

Netskor reads only what anyone on the internet can see: DNS records, email authentication, the website's HTTPS and security headers, certificate and domain expiry, and security.txt.

  1. Email

    5 checks

SPF, DMARC and DKIM decide whether others can send email in your company's name. MTA-STS and TLS reporting protect mail on its way to you.

  2. Website

    10 checks

The website's HTTPS and certificate, the redirect from HTTP, security headers, cookies, exposed software versions and security.txt.

  3. DNS and domain

    4 checks

DNSSEC signing, which authorities may issue certificates for the domain, and when the domain registration and the certificate expire.

How Netskor works

  1. You enter your company's domain.

    vardis.is

  2. Netskor reads public DNS records, the homepage and a few public files. It sends only a handful of requests to the website and says who it is.

    • TXT _dmarc.vardis.is
    • MX vardis.is
    • GET https://vardis.is/
  3. You get a report with a grade, the three most important fixes and an explanation of every finding.

When something needs fixing

Vardis is an Icelandic infrastructure and security brand. Its first product is Netskor.

Vardis intends to help companies fix what Netskor finds.

Start with what is visible.

Netskor does not scan ports, does not try to log in and never tries to exploit a weakness.
